On April 28, Liu Baocheng, the deputy chief engineer of Electric Power Research Institute of Tianjin Electric Power Company of State Grid, and his party of 7 people came to the CEPE for scientific research cooperation negotiations. The dean prof. Han Xiaoqing, the vice dean prof. Dou Yinke, and prof. Qin Wenping of Shanxi Key Laboratory of Power System Operation and Control attended the meeting, which was presided over by President Han Xiaoqing.

Dou Yinke briefly introduced the development status of the college, faculty, talent training, scientific research, university-enterprise cooperation, service to society and other basic conditions. Huo Xianxu, the deputy director of the Power Grid Technology Center of Tianjin Electric Power Research Institute, introduced the research and engineering application of the institute in micro grid construction, intelligent distribution and the application of power electronic equipment in large power grid in recent years. Zhang Chi, the director of the condition information room of equipment condition evaluation center, introduced insulation testing and common operation problems of electrical equipment such as lines, cables, transformers and switches from the perspective of transmission, transformation and distribution. Du Ming, a specialist from the Power Grid Center, introduced the problems existing in protection fixed value verification, power electronic device protection and system protection interface based on the influence of power electronic equipment access on system fault mechanism and transient process. Liu Baocheng, the deputy chief engineer, prospected the future grid structure, model, how to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality. At the meeting, the two sides had a heated discussion on the comprehensive utilization of multi-energy and high voltage insulation technology of power system.
Han Xiaoqing said that the CEPE is studying and implementing Xi Jinping's important discourse on energy revolution, especially the new requirements of "double carbon" action and "building a new power system with new energy as the main body". Focusing on the national strategic demand for energy and environment, the college is actively promoting the construction of energy internet interdisciplinary system, vigorously promoting university-enterprise cooperation and promoting the integration of industry and education. The college will give full play to its talent and scientific research advantages in the fields of new energy power generation, smart grid, efficient and clean coal-fired power generation technology, coal mine electrical intelligence and other fields, and conduct in-depth cooperation with Tianjin electric power academy.
During the meeting, both sides said that this negotiation was a good start for bilateral cooperation. Both sides would take this as an opportunity to give full play to their respective advantages and carry out in-depth scientific cooperation in micro grid, application of artificial intelligence in new power system, high voltage insulation technology and other aspects.
After the meeting, Li Baocheng and his party of seven people visited the key Laboratory of Power System Operation and Control of Shanxi Province.
